JAHAZI SARONG

Our sarong is a wearable piece of art that can be used as a beach sarong, a dress or a large scarf. For decoration purpose, it becomes a framed wall art, a wall tapestry over a bed, a tablecloth or even a bedspread.
Illustration Story
«Jahazi» is the traditional name for Zanzibar’s fishing boats, living symbols of the island’s maritime heritage. The brightly coloured, striped sails catch the sea breeze as the boats glide gracefully over the turquoise waves. Like a lighthouse illuminating the past, this illustration evokes the glorious days when Zanzibar was the crossroads of international trade, welcoming merchants from India and China to exchange spices and exotic treasures.
