Story of the illustrationMarkisa is the grandmother willow of this collection. Adorned with her most beautiful passion fruit, a palm thorn pricked in her nose and scattered with her most delicate passion flowers, she charms us by whistling a song of bird of paradise. An illustration inspired by a shot of the photographer, guide and friend of Brescia: Marc Weiglein.
A note from the artistCreating the Markisa print was a personal journey and a tribute to the beauty that surrounds us. Markisa, a character in her own right, seemed to beckon from the lush embrace of nature. I was inspired by a photograph taken by a dear friend and fellow nature enthusiast, Marc Weiglein. Marc's lens caught a moment of pure, unadulterated beauty, and it sparked the creative fire within me.
