NUBA SARONG AQUA

Our sarong is a wearable piece of art that can be used as a beach sarong, a dress or a large scarf. For decoration purpose, it becomes a framed wall art, a wall tapestry over a bed, a tablecloth or even a bedspread.
Illustration Story
Nuba is a young guardian from ancient times, whom I drew in pencil and coloured with markers. The light scarification marks on her face are living symbols of courage and devotion, testifying to the depth of the Nuba’s connection to their culture and their ability to overcome hardship. It’s an ancestral ritual, like tattoos in Asia. To look at her portrait is to plunge into the soul of a nation, to honour the indomitable spirit of African women.
